Artist Statement
My work is an exploration of the synaesthetic experience, where one sense involuntarily stimulates another. I am particularly fascinated by the intersection of sound and color, where auditory stimuli evoke vivid visual perceptions. My art seeks to translate these subjective, often indescribable sensations into a tangible form, inviting viewers to experience a world where the senses intertwine.
Through a combination of painting and sculpture, I aim to create visual compositions that resonate with the emotional and psychological impact of sound. My palette is influenced by the perceived hues of musical notes, chords, and rhythms, while the forms and textures of my work mimic the physicality of sound waves. I believe that by sharing my unique perspective, I can challenge conventional notions of perception and invite others to contemplate the interconnectedness of our senses.
Ultimately, my art is an attempt to bridge the gap between the abstract and the concrete, between the internal and the external. It is an invitation to experience the world through a different lens, to see sound and hear color.
